Science-technology centers pioneered exhibits that invite visitors to interact with their hands, bodies, minds and senses. Today, venues ranging from art museums to health education centers recognize that visitors have come to expect engaging hands-on experiences that lead to the 'ah ah!' of discovery. In order to attract and retain audiences of all ages, our definition of 'interactivity' and how it is presented and experienced, has had to expand and change.

Our approach at the Museum of Life and Science was to let the experience of the galleries evolve from content, program and specialized resources available.
